Dear all,
The hard landscaping for the Pocket Parks is almost complete. Thank you for your patience.
We would like to invite local residents to be involved in planting the Pocket Parks next month.
To learn more either come to the Mell Street site this Saturday (26th October) and talk to our landscape architects, who will be available between 10am-2pm , or send an email registering your interest to
transport-strategy@royalgreenwich.gov.uk
Thanks,
Greenwich Pocket Parks Team

From September 2017 to June 2018, as part of the Greenwich Low Emission Neighbourhood (LEN) and Sharing Cities programmes, residents of Greenwich and the Peninsula may be able to borrow an eBike for four weeks for just £10, and explore different options for buying it.
An eBike has an electric 'pedal assist' system allowing you to ride further and more comfortably. Better still, it will help you reduce your impact on local air quality and breathe better air by using quiet back streets.
The initiative is administered by the London Cycling Campaign. For more information on registering, how to know if you’re on the trial, how to pick up the eBike, the induction day, storing and using your eBike and what happens if it is lost or stolen, cycle lessons, buying an eBike after the trial and more visit https://lcc.org.uk/pages/ebikes.

The eBikes initiative is just one way we are taking action, as part of the Low Emission Neighbourhood (LEN) and Sharing Cities programmes, to improve local air quality. To find out more go to greenwich.commonplace.is
Nominate your street to become a Play Street, a regular temporary space for children to play outside their homes and for neighbours to get to know each other better.
Play Streets give kids the chance to play freely and safely on their doorstep by neighbours agreeing to temporarily close their street to through traffic.
Mark your street on our local map and let us know why you want to become a Play Street. Next, Royal Borough of Greenwich and our partner London Play will contact you and provide the support you need to engage your neighbours and host a trial Play Street event.
To nominate your street, or learn more about Play Streets, please visit: https://greenwichplaystreets.commonplace.is/
Don't forget to share the project locally via Facebook, Twitter, or email to get your neighbours involved too.
Dear Stakeholders,
Come along to the Greenwich Pocket Parks community engagement events hosted by the Royal Borough of Greenwich Transport planning team.
A series of concepts have been developed for three locations following the outcome of a resident survey completed earlier in the LEN programme. Now we want your views to inform how these concepts are developed from ideas into final designs that best serve the people who will use them most.
Community engagement events will be held at the Greenwich Forum http://www.forumatgreenwich.org on the dates/times below.
Space is limited so please confirm your place using www.eventbrite.co.uk and search for “Greenwich pocket parks” or call 020 8921 5492 .
· Saturday 24th February 11.30-1pm
· Tuesday 27th February 3-5pm
· Wednesday 28th of February from 3-5pm
Spaces are limited, so please only register for tickets that you will use.
